Job summary

Optum is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Albuquerque to lead forecasting, planning, and financial analysis for the OptumCare AZ/NM Financial Reporting and RBE team. The position requires 3+ years FP&A experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations. Occasional overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics or related field.
• 3+ years of financial and/or accounting experience.
• 3+ years of FP&A experience.
• Experience owning financial models and process improvement.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for leadership.
• Advanced Excel skills: Pivot Tables, X-Lookups, Power Query.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and variance analysis with forward-looking projections.
• Partner with accounting to validate results and close accuracy.
• Forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modeling to support initiatives.
• Consolidate outputs and present insights to senior leadership.
