Job summary

Leica Biosystems Inc. is seeking a Director of Pharma Partnerships to independently identify, qualify, and advance biopharma partnership opportunities across companion diagnostics and AI-enabled assays. The role involves sponsor-specific deal strategies, cross-functional influence, and governance across alliances, reporting to the Senior Director, Pharma Partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, alliance management, diagnostics, or related healthcare markets.
• Experience creating, qualifying, and advancing opportunities with pharmaceutical/biotech sponsors, including contracting and SOW development.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop pharma partnership opportunities with target sponsors.
• Advance opportunities from early engagement through proposal, SOW, and master collaboration agreements.
• Develop sponsor-specific value propositions across companion diagnostics, AI-enabled assays, and precision medicine workflows.
• Recommend deal strategies by synthesizing customer, market, technical, financial, and operational inputs.
• Manage selected alliances to support governance, commitments, resolve issues, and plan expansion.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Healthcare, Engineering, or related field
