Job summary

Embrace Pet Insurance is seeking a Claims Adjuster- Associate for a remote position in the USA. The role involves processing pet claims, reviewing medical documents, and communicating with pet parents and clinics by phone and email.

You will support other departments as needed and contribute to timely, accurate claims handling. The position is non-exempt, eligible for overtime, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, life, disability, parental leave, HSAs, FSAs, retirement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and settle wellness, illness, and accident claims.
• Calculate coverage amounts accurately and efficiently minimizing errors and processing time.
• Follow up with pet parents and veterinary clinics for additional information as needed.
• Communicate with pet parents via phone, email, or web inquiries in a timely manner.
• Meet internal processing efficiency goals set by leadership.
• Suggest improvements to protocols and service levels to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Own tasks in the claims department and seek help when unsure of procedures.
