Job summary

Delos Insurance Solutions seeks an experienced Personal Lines Property Underwriter to evaluate homeowners and other residential property risks, manage submissions, and maintain strong agent relationships. The role emphasizes data-driven decision-making within established guidelines.

The position supports underwriting process improvements in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, with a remote-first work setup across the United States.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of property underwriting or related personal lines experience (homeowners/dwelling fire).
• Strong knowledge of underwriting guidelines, risk assessment, and decision-making within authority.
• Experience with underwriting platforms and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new business and renewal submissions for homeowners and residential property lines.
• Manage daily underwriting tasks including inspections, endorsements, and system-driven tasks.
• Assess risk characteristics per guidelines and risk appetite to balance profitability and growth.
• Maintain strong agent relationships and serve as underwriting resource for submissions.
• Support guideline development and process improvements with data-driven insights.
• Escalate exceptions beyond authority to Senior Underwriter as needed.
