Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a National Sales Agent, Direct Distribution - Personal Lines, to sell new personal lines coverage over the phone with prospective customers in most states while advising on coverage options and quotes. You will determine eligibility, gather underwriting data, and bind policies after approval.

Ideal candidates will have a customer-focused mindset, strong sales drive, and the ability to adapt to changing products and systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; undergraduate studies preferred.
• P&C license strongly preferred; state licenses within required time period.
• Three or more years of related sales experience in property/casualty is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handles incoming calls/emails from prospective personal lines customers for all property/casualty lines; close the sale.
• Writes quality risk policies based on underwriting requirements and uses appropriate classification systems.
• Provides explanations and recommendations regarding coverage; enters rating information and binds coverage.
• Completes applications and forms; issues binder within authority and follows up on documents and payments.
• Contributes to team quotas and maintains knowledge of market conditions and product offerings.
