Job summary

The AES Corporation, a leading US-based global power company, is seeking a Permitting Analyst to build regulatory and project-management expertise supporting utility-scale renewable energy projects. Remote option available within the United States.

You will work with Development, Environmental, Engineering, and Construction teams, handling permitting, environmental reviews, land-use entitlements, and agency coordination, with room to grow into ownership of project tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in permitting, environmental compliance, or project development.
• Familiarity with environmental permitting and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills with multiple priorities.
• Proficient with MS Office and mapping tools; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support permitting, environmental review, land-use entitlement activities, and agency coordination for utility-scale renewables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Development, Environmental, Community Relations, Engineering, Construction, and Project Execution.
• Conduct site evaluations, due diligence, and constraint analyses for project locations.
• Assist with managing consultants, vendors, schedules, and budgets.
• Prepare project documentation and compliance packages for handoff to construction and operations.
• Participate in meetings with stakeholders and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Contribute to cost optimization, vendor management, and invoice review processes.
• Identify project risks and help develop mitigation strategies under senior guidance.
• Maintain project records and permit-tracking systems for efficient execution.
