Goldschmitt and Associates LLC seeks a Loan Analyst to oversee the Perkins Loan portfolio, providing advanced analysis, supervision of staff, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. The role is remote, supporting the institution’s Perkins program while driving accurate reporting and sustainable operations.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical abilities, payroll and accounting knowledge, and a record of leading teams in financial services.

Qualifications

• Experience with Perkins Loan portfolio accounting and reporting.
• Leadership experience supervising staff or teams.
• Ability to pass and maintain eligibility for a 6C Public Trust investigation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and maintain borrower accounts within the Perkins Loan portfolio.
• Review payment activity, interest accrual, deferment, forbearance, cancellation, and default status.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and misapplied payments.
• Coordinate account updates with third-party servicers and collection agencies.
• Perform monthly/quarterly reconciliation of the servicing system to the general ledger.
• Prepare portfolio reports: principal/interest, delinquency, cash activity, rehab activity.
• Support year-end financial reporting and audit preparation.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Perkins Loan Program regulations.
