Job summary

PetLab Co. is hiring a Mid Weight Video Editor & Producer focused on AI-powered performance ads. You’ll produce high volumes for Meta, TikTok and YouTube, mixing UGC, creator footage, stock and AI-generated video to drive conversions.

You’ll script and develop ideas with a direct-response mindset, collaborating with Creative Strategists, Paid Media, and other teams, while advancing AI workflows to speed up editing and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of video editing experience including 2+ years in paid social ads for DTC/eCommerce
• Proven experience creating AI-powered ads and creative with portfolio
• Hundreds/thousands of paid social ads with measurable results (ROAS/CPA)
• Strong written and spoken English; able to present ideas to a global team
• AI video tools as part of daily workflow (Veo, Kling, Runway, etc.)
• Expert in Premiere Pro and/or CapCut; motion graphics a plus
• Understanding of hooks, pacing, retention, offers and CTAs for conversion
• Ability to deliver high-volume ads weekly without quality drop
• Experience in fast-moving, feedback-heavy teams at high-growth brands
• Bonus: pet/health/wellness brand experience

Responsibilities

• Performance Video Editing – turn briefs and raw footage into ads that convert
• Editing for 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and 16:9 formats
• Write hooks, CTAs and captions for each platform
• Create AI-generated video, avatars and voiceovers
• Collaborate with Creative Strategists, Paid Media, Video Producers and other teams
• Test variations and analyze performance data
• Develop and refine creative strategy and briefs
• Ensure AI outputs are believable and on-brand
