Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Metal Building Estimator to lead PEMB and structural steel takeoffs and cost estimates for projects from $50K to $10M. The role emphasizes accuracy, speed, and clear pricing in a high-volume bid environment.

The ideal candidate has PEMB or metal building estimating experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with sales, engineering and preconstruction teams to deliver complete, competitive bids in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience within PEMB, structural steel, or metal building systems.
• Experience estimating projects in the $200K–$600K range or higher.
• Ability to independently perform full quantity takeoffs and build complete job costs.
• Demonstrated success producing accurate, competitive bids in a high-volume environment.
• Strong Excel skills; ability to learn ERP and tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for PEMB, structural steel, and metal building projects ranging from $50K to $10M.
• Develop complete project cost estimates incorporating materials, labor, buyouts, overhead, and other project-specific costs.
• Solicit, analyze and level vendor quotes to ensure third-party materials and buyout scopes are accurately captured.
• Partner with sales, engineering and preconstruction teams to translate customer requirements into clear, buildable and cost-effective scopes.
• Assemble professional bid packages with clearly defined pricing, inclusions, exclusions and assumptions.
• Maintain accurate cost models while identifying opportunities to improve estimating efficiency, margins and overall bid accuracy.
• Manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment while targeting accurate turnaround times of approximately 2–3 days per estimate.
