Job summary

Children’s Hospital & Medical Center is seeking an IT professional to design, test, implement and maintain clinical IT applications across hospital and outpatient settings. The role involves researching and resolving system problems, documenting resolutions, and interfacing with clinical staff to optimize workflows and EMR usage.

The position requires an Associate’s degree in IT or related field (Bachelor’s preferred) and Epic experience, with after-hours availability and strong communication

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, medical profession, or related field Required
• Experience may be substituted for education. Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, configure, test and maintain clinical applications to accomplish department goals and meet end-user needs.
• Research, analyze and correct system and user problems; document issues and resolutions.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through effective communication.
• Participate on project teams to define requirements and improve workflow and utilization of applications.
• Translate workflow requirements into efficient application solutions.
• Perform integrated testing of current and new vendor functionality to ensure reliability and integrity of the EMR.
• Assist with end-user training and on-call/maintenance activities.
• Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job.
• Perform physical requirements as described in the Physical Requirements section
