Job summary
it's electric is seeking a Project Engineer to drive curbside charging deployments in Philadelphia and beyond. The role centers on project management, site assessment, and engineering design for urban charging infrastructure.
You will stamp permit drawings, coordinate with utilities, and manage contractors while upholding company standards. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in electrical engineering, familiarity with NEC/NESC, and comfort working remotely with strong communication.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years in electrical engineering with urban design/build experience.
- Familiar with city distribution systems and NEC/National Electric Safety Code.
- Licensed Professional Engineer preferred; PE license highly desirable.
- Ability to work remotely with strong communication and organization.
Responsibilities
- Own overall project management for curbside charger deployments.
- Perform site assessments including available power capacity.
- Design and engineering work with drawings and specs.
- Prepare and stamp permit drawings for local authorities.
- Coordinate with permit authorities and utilities.
- Bid and award contractor packages; manage construction admin.
- Develop and maintain company-wide technical standards.
- Evaluate methods to reduce installation cost/time.
- Manage technical sub-consultants across regions.
- Represent the company at site visits, hearings, and boards.
