Job summary

Medasource is seeking a PB Coding Auditor for a remote, 6-month contract-to-hire role focused on professional billing coding audits, especially for complex surgical, cardiology, and specialty services. You will review coding, ensure compliance with federal regulations and payer guidelines, and support accurate reimbursements while documenting findings.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in PB coding auditing, CPC certification, and familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC preferred).

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional billing coding auditing experience
• Experience auditing complex surgical and cardiology coding
• Familiarity with ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and clinical documentation
• Knowledge of federal regulations, payer guidelines, and organizational coding policies

Responsibilities

• Audit complex surgical, cardiology, and specialty professional billing coding for accuracy and appropriate reimbursement
• Review ICD-10-CM/PCS code assignments and supporting clinical documentation
• Identify coding discrepancies, compliance risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Ensure coding practices align with federal regulations, payer guidelines, and organizational policies
• Provide feedback and recommendations to coding and revenue cycle teams
• Chart 3-5 charts per assigned coder per week and document findings
