Job summary

Eis group usa is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk on a full-time contract basis to support accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain records, and handle payroll inquiries with professionalism.

The role collaborates with HR and Finance, processes hours, deductions, taxes, and benefits, and assists with year-end activities. Remote or hybrid work options may be available depending on organizational requirements.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or related field.
• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and payroll software.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify employee payroll information, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and other adjustments.
• Review timesheets, attendance records, and payroll documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Enter and maintain employee payroll data in payroll and HR systems.
• Assist with the preparation and processing of regular payroll cycles in accordance with established deadlines.
• Calculate and verify wages, deductions, taxes, benefits, and other payroll-related adjustments.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely manner; maintain confidential payroll records and documentation.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations and verify payroll reports against financial and employee records.
• Support the processing of new hires, employee changes, terminations, and other payroll updates.
• Coordinate with Human Resources, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll issues.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including preparation of required reports and employee tax documents.
• Ensure payroll activities comply with policies and federal/state/local requirements.
• Maintain organized payroll files and supporting documentation for audits and internal reviews.
• Assist with payroll system updates, testing, and process improvements.
• Protect sensitive employee information and maintain confidentiality.
• Prepare routine payroll reports and provide administrative support to payroll or accounting team.
