Job summary

Worklio is seeking a Product Manager to own the design, development, and delivery of Payroll features tailored for the U.S. regulatory and tax environment. You will work with engineering, compliance, QA, and support to ensure the payroll engine remains accurate, scalable, and compliant.

This role suits someone with hands-on experience in payroll technology platforms and a readiness to lead product ownership in a fast-paced, agile setting. Remote work within the U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Management in Payroll or payroll-related software.
• Deep understanding of U.S. payroll tax structures (federal, state, local).
• Experience managing updates tied to compliance changes (e.g., wage base limits, SUTA/FUTA, GTL, W-2s).
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and own product requirements for payroll-related features and updates.
• Analyze federal and state regulatory changes and translate into specifications.
• Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical docs.
• Collaborate with developers and QA for timely, high-quality releases.
• Manage DevOps boards and sprint planning.
• Create wireframes and flows in Figma for internal use and handoff.
• Support regression and compliance testing, including edge cases.
• Prepare release notes and stakeholder demos.
• Monitor system accuracy post-release.
