Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to own end-to-end payroll for approximately 3,000 employees across 105+ locations in 10+ states, with a team of two Payroll Specialists/Analysts. The role requires overseeing multi-state tax compliance, audits, and complex issue resolution, with travel to the Miami home office at least monthly.

You will partner with Finance and HR, manage payroll data integrity, and support acquisitions and system implementations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including 3+ years in multi-state payroll for 2,000+ employees.
• 2+ years of direct payroll team leadership experience.
• Experience managing payroll internal controls, reconciliations, segregation of duties, and multi-entity payroll.
• Experience supporting financial statements and retirement plan audits.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, HR, or related field, or Associate’s degree with equivalent payroll experience.
• CPP certification or eligibility to obtain within 18 months.
• Experience integrating payroll for acquisitions or new legal entities.
• Payroll/HCM system implementation or conversion experience.
• Experience with Form 5500 audits.
• Experience supporting payroll environments with multiple FEINs.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll operations for ~3,000 employees across 105+ locations and 10+ states.
• Oversee regular and off-cycle payrolls and payroll controllership.
• Complete pre-payroll reviews and variance analysis.
• Manage multi-state tax and wage compliance and GL reconciliation.
• Support audits and regulatory reviews with Finance and HR.
• Partner with Finance/HR; oversee payroll system and data integrity.
• Support acquisition integrations and complex payroll issues.
• Handle year-end processing and tax matters.
