Qualifications

• Knowledge of EOBs and ERAs and payer reimbursement methodologies.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with medical payment posting or revenue cycle operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post insurance and patient payments and ERAs accurately and timely.
• Review EOBs/ERAs to ensure correct payment application.
• Identify and post contractual adjustments, denials, and variances per payer guidelines.
• Reconcile daily payment batches and ensure transactions balance.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies including underpayments/overpayments.
• Collaborate with billing, coding, and collections teams on payment issues or trends.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of information.
• Assist with month-end close and reporting as needed.
