Sentara Health Plan is seeking a Payment Policy Research Analyst & Technical Writer to identify, develop and present cost-saving opportunities in our policy and reimbursement framework. You will leverage data insights, policy knowledge, and stakeholder input to drive savings deployment.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, preferably a bachelor's in health care, and 3 years in health plan operations or medical coding. Remote work schedule opportunities are available.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Bachelor Level Degree (Preferred)
• 3 years Health plan experience or 3 years Medical coding, required
• 3 years Health plan claim auditing or appeals, preferred
• BS/BA/Advanced degree in health care or medical field preferred

Responsabilidades

• Identify, develop & present policy-related medical cost savings opportunities for Sentara Health Plan
• Assess new opportunities based on data insights, policies, and industry trends
• Determine strategies to achieve cost savings (policy development, contract strategy, claims editing)
• Establish relationships with internal/external stakeholders to deliver initiatives
• Support remote work schedule opportunities with timely delivery
