Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Manager, Payer Rules & Revenue Cycle Optimization to lead the operational implementation of payer rules and contractual requirements. You will manage a three-person FTE team and partner with IT, Market Access, and RCM teams to improve billing accuracy, accelerate collections, and minimize denials.

You will translate payer contracts and policies into actionable system rules, oversee Brightree and InRule configurations, and drive governance for payer rule changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, information systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, payer operations, reimbursement, billing systems, or payer rules preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to translate complex payer rules into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage a team of three FTEs; set priorities and ensure timely payer rule implementations.
• Oversee end-to-end readiness for new payer contracts and updates to ensure compliance by effective dates.
• Translate payer contracts and billing guidelines into system rules and procedures across RCM processes.
• Own configurations within Brightree and InRule, including coverage, modifiers, eligibility, and claim edits.
