Job summary

GRAIL is seeking a highly driven Payer Engagement Account Director to own and advance a pipeline of payer opportunities. This role requires navigating complex payer organizations and translating interest into pilots, data evaluations, or access‑enabling collaborations.

You will report to the Senior Director, Payer Engagement, and collaborate across Market Access, HEOR, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to deliver value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in payer engagement, market access, managed care, or healthcare account leadership.
• Willingness to travel 30–40% of the time.
• Proven ability to close payer negotiations that expand insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive a defined pipeline of payer opportunities with accountability for progress and outcomes.
• Lead payer meetings from initial outreach through follow-up execution.
• Collaborate with Market Access, HEOR, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to support payer-driven evidence and access needs.
• Prepare payer-facing materials that articulate clinical and economic value clearly.
