Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Payer Contracting Manager, Transplant Program, to strategically manage payer and specialty network relationships supporting transplant programs. This role specializes in transplant reimbursement, network contracting, and complex payer negotiations, partnering with business development to grow outreach and referral networks.

The position oversees contract language, rates, and compliance, and serves as the primary contracting lead for transplant payer agreements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and supporting complex negotiations.
• Experience in a professional role that requires effective verbal and written communication to present advanced topics clearly and professionally.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize extensive data into clear summaries without losing details.
• Experience leading teams, including cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of assigned payer relationships, including contract negotiation support and management.
• Maintains expertise of all assigned contracts, including rates, language, and structure.
• Ensures all contract language and processes follow standard Payer Contracting practices.
• Represents Payer Contracting in key relationships and leads Joint Operating Committees.
• Establishes and maintains long-term relationships with aligned payers.
• Coordinates with Finance and Revenue Cycle for risk-based contracting and proactive care strategies.
• Coordinates with Legal and Compliance to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentors Payer Contracting staff and drives team performance.
