Job summary

Harris Computer is seeking a Patient Services Representative to handle patient queries and concerns. You will coordinate information among patients, family, medical personnel, and administrators to meet needs while adhering to HIPAA and facility policies.

The role involves answering calls, collecting balances, assisting with billing queries, and ensuring timely follow-up in a fully remote, National scope. Experience in medical accounts is a plus.

Qualifications

• College graduate or ≥2 years in college.
• Medical field degrees or courses are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with confidential information.
• Able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Detail oriented and organized; meet deadlines.
• Proficient in email use.
• Seasoned call-center experience in medical accounts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls according to procedures.
• Assist patients with queries and concerns.
• Collect patients’ outstanding balances.
• Assist third-party entities with patient account queries.
• Place outbound collection calls per procedures.
• Safeguard protected health information per HIPAA.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and teamwork.
• Other related duties as assigned.
