Job summary

Harris & Harris, Ltd. is seeking a Patient Experience Advocate to support our Business Operations team. You will schedule patients, provide insurance information, and collect balances on delinquent accounts while working within HIPAA guidelines.

Schedule is 8:00am–5:00pm CST, Monday through Friday. Remote work available for domestic United States residents, with compensation ranging from $13.50 to $15.00 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a call center environment.
• Experience with Epic system or similar is a plus.
• Excellent phone and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and governing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Update patient records with new information and call outcomes.
• Make outbound and receive inbound calls to gather information.
• Document notes detailing actions to resolve balances.
• Explain insurance benefits and payment responsibilities to patients.
• Schedule appointments in the central scheduling system.
• Coordinate with insurers and providers to assist patients.
