Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Night Shift Care Monitor to ensure safety for high-risk patients through remote and bedside observation. You will perform hourly rounds, document activities in the electronic medical record, identify hazards, and communicate with the clinical team to prevent incidents.

Role requires basic computer skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a stressful environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients remotly and in person to ensure safety and timely care.
• Complete hourly rounding and document patient activity in EMR.
• Identify hazards in patient environment and escalate as needed.
• Provide hand-off reports and maintain observation logs.
• Redirect patients from risky behaviours and notify nursing staff when help is needed.
