Endeavor Health's Patient Safety Observer Virtual position in Chicago, IL, is a full-time role at 36 hours per week. Hours are days (7a-7:30p) with rotating weekends and holidays. The incumbent remotely or bedside monitors patients to ensure safety, provides verbal redirection, and alerts nursing staff as needed.

Requires high school completion; CNA preferred. Strong customer service, communication skills, and proficiency with video monitoring software are essential.

Qualifications

• High School required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Ability to sit for long periods and stay attentive to patients.
• React quickly in emergencies and alert nursing staff.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in both verbal and written communications.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates commitment to Swedish Covenant Hospital's mission and adheres to hospital responsibilities.
• Maintains visual observation of patients, at bedside or via video monitors.
• Verbally redirects patients and summons nursing staff when needed.
• Communicates observations to floor staff in a timely manner.
• Ensures patient dignity and privacy; follows safety procedures.
• Performs shift handoffs and reviews pertinent information with on-coming staff.
