Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Patient Medication Liaison to ensure patient adherence and coordinate medication refills. You will work with Mizzou Pharmacy locations, communicating with patients, physicians and the pharmacy team to improve the patient experience.

The role emphasizes prior authorizations, medication assistance referrals, and seamless team collaboration in a remote, customer-focused environment. Onboarding requires two weeks on-site with quarterly meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPhT certification within 1 year of hire required.
• Experience coordinating medication refills and prior authorizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prospective medication prior authorization services to expedite workflow.
• Coordinate refill and renewal requests with pre-screening for payment sources.
• Foster communication between clinics, hospitals, patients and pharmacies.
• Identify patients for medication assistance programs.
• Perform pharmacy technician duties and other duties as assigned.
