Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Patient Educator to empower patients and caregivers navigating Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis. You will deliver disease state education, support access through ACADIA Connect, and collaborate with PAMs and field teams to ensure coverage and adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, psychology, or related healthcare field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in pharma with patient education, patient navigation, advocacy, or pharmaceutical patient support services is desired.
• Knowledge of neurology, psychiatry, or movement disorders preferred, especially Parkinson’s Disease or PDP.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prescription disease state education to patients and caregivers via group meetings and advocacy groups.
• Provide information on product efficacy, safety, and access through ACADIA Connect to patients or caregivers who opt in.
• Distribute approved educational materials to increase awareness of PDP and NUPLAZID; build trusting relationships.
• Collaborate with PAMs to address coverage, reimbursement, and affordability questions.
• Facilitate referral and transition into ACADIA Connect for access assistance.
• Partner with Neurology and Long-Term Care Sales Specialists to raise awareness of Patient Educator resources.
• Offer feedback to marketing to improve patient engagement and education programs.
