Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Patient Educator to empower patients and caregivers navigating Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis. You will deliver disease state education, explain treatment options including NUPLAZID, and ensure smooth transitions to ACADIA Connect and PAMs for coverage and adherence.

The role requires strong communication, empathy, and collaborative ability, with travel as needed to support community engagement and education programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, psychology, or related healthcare field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in pharma with patient education, navigation, advocacy, or patient support services.
• Knowledge of neurology, psychiatry, or movement disorders preferred; experience with PDP strongly desired.
• Demonstrated ability to build empathetic and supportive relationships with patients and caregivers.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
• Experience collaborating across marketing, patient support services, advocacy, and field-based teams.
• Familiarity with compliance standards for patient-facing pharmaceutical roles.

Responsabilités

• Deliver pre-prescription disease state education to patients and caregivers via small group meetings and presentations.
• Provide information regarding product efficacy, safety, and access through ACADIA Connect.
• Offer approved educational resources helping patients discuss PDP with their doctor.
• Distribute educational materials to raise awareness of PDP and NUPLAZID.
• Build trusting relationships to support patients and caregivers throughout their journey.
• Collaborate with PAMs to address coverage, reimbursement, and affordability questions.
• Facilitate referral and transition to ACADIA Connect for access assistance.
• Partner with Neurology and Long-Term Care Sales Specialists to inform providers.
• Respond to inquiries from patients, caregivers, and community groups.
• Collaborate with advocacy organizations to support education programs.
• Provide feedback to marketing to improve patient engagement.
