Job summary

Mercor is seeking a seasoned Patient Access leader to oversee pre-registration, registration, scheduling, and intake across inpatient and outpatient settings in a remote-capable role.

You will evaluate AI-assisted workflows, enforce registration accuracy, and collaborate with billing, IT, and clinical teams to reduce front-end errors while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Experience with Epic/Cerner/Meditech is preferred; manage a team and drive KPIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in patient access or front-end revenue cycle management with leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of pre-registration, insurance verification, scheduling intake, and point-of-service collections.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and payer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end patient access operations across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs and provide actionable feedback.
• Develop and enforce policies for accurate registration and collections.
• Monitor KPIs such as registration error rates and pre-registration completion.
• Ensure clean claim submission from point of entry and resolve front-end issues.
• Collaborate with billing, clinical, and IT teams to streamline workflows.
• Train and mentor staff on registration best practices and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and payer requirements.
