Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab to advance AI-driven healthcare revenue cycle solutions. We seek seasoned Patient Access leaders to oversee registration, scheduling, and intake across settings while guiding AI evaluation and data feedback.

Candidates should have 5+ years in patient access with a track record in management, strong HIPAA/CMS knowledge, and experience with major EHR systems. This is a fully remote opportunity with impact on frontline healthcare operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in patient access with at least 2 years in a manager/director role.
• Deep knowledge of pre-registration, insurance verification, scheduling intake, and point-of-service collections.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA, CMS regulations, and payer requirements.
• Proficiency with Epic, Cerner, Meditech or similar EHR systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify workflow/data/AI output inconsistencies.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
• Strong organizational skills with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end patient access operations across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs related to patient access processes and provide actionable feedback.
• Develop and enforce policies for registration accuracy and point-of-service collections.
• Monitor KPIs such as registration errors, pre-registration completion, and insurance verification accuracy.
• Ensure clean claim submission from point of entry by addressing front-end deficiencies.
• Collaborate with billing, clinical, and IT teams to streamline workflows.
• Train and mentor staff on registration best practices and compliance.
• Document observations and annotate AI outputs to support AI training datasets.
