Job summary

Wolf Greenfield is seeking an experienced Patent Agent to join the Prosecution & Counseling department. This role suits a current Patent Agent with a strong technical background who wants to contribute to IP strategy, patent preparation, and prosecution for diverse clients.

The position can be based in Boston, New York, or Washington, DC, or fully remote, and requires at least two years of law firm patent experience. The salary range is $150,000–$200,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or related field.
• Admission to the USPTO is required.
• Minimum of two (2+) years of law firm patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Sound judgment, maturity, and an inquisitive nature with a strong work ethic and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft, file, and prosecute high-quality patent applications.
• Prepare responses to USPTO office actions.
• Conduct examiner interviews and perform freedom to operate analyses.
• Conduct scientific, technical and legal research to support prosecution and portfolio strategy.
