Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Patent Agent in Tysons Corner, VA, or remotely. The role involves preparing and prosecuting patent applications, drafting opinions, and providing IP counseling to clients, including Fortune 500 companies.

You will interact directly with clients and the USPTO and work on mechanical and electro-mechanical inventions. Five+ years of patent drafting/prosecution experience is required, with USPTO registration as a Patent Agent preferred.

Qualifications

• At least five years of patent drafting and prosecution experience.
• Experience as a patent examiner or engineer is a plus.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly with minimal training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications for mechanical and electro-mechanical inventions.
• Draft patent clearance, validity, and infringement opinions.
• Provide IP counseling to clients.
• Interact directly with clients and the USPTO.
