Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a patent attorney for a remote role based in Tysons Corner. You will draft and prosecute patent applications for mechanical and electro-mechanical inventions and provide IP counseling to clients, including Fortune 500 companies.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of patent drafting/prosecution experience and a background in mechanical or electrical engineering, physics, or related disciplines, with USPTO registration and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least five years of recent patent drafting and prosecution experience.
• Experience as a patent examiner or engineer is a plus.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly with minimal training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications for mechanical and electro-mechanical inventions.
• Draft patent clearance, validity, and infringement opinions.
• Provide IP counseling to clients.
• Interact directly with clients and the USPTO.
