Job summary

Triumph Higher Education LLC is seeking an Instructor for Interactive Distance Learning (IDL) to remotely facilitate courses in AESCA’s culinary curriculum. The role focuses on student success, addressing at-risk students, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve academic results.

Hands-on expertise in pastry, cake production, and plated desserts will help deliver engaging, learner-centered instruction.

Qualifications

Associate Degree or 2 years of full-time teaching experience in the occupational area.
Accredited training program plus 2 years of full-time teaching experience.
Minimum 5 years of full-time equivalent teaching experience if no formal education in the area.
Teaching experience online or at a residential campus preferred.
Industry certifications in the subject area are preferred.

Responsibilities

Engage students to facilitate learning and achieve course objectives using best practices for adult education.
Coach at-risk students independently and with others to create success plans.
Maintain professional and respectful communication with students and team members.
Relate professional experience to learning by introducing industry perspectives.
Provide value beyond baseline materials with personal insights into the subject matter.
Adhere to timelines for outreach, communication, feedback and tasks as set by Academic Leadership.
Attend scheduled meetings, workshops and faculty meetings each term.
Support Academic Leadership with course- or program-related tasks and inquiries.
Support Registrar’s Office in maintaining accurate student records.
Other duties as required.
