Job summary

UL Research Institutes is seeking a Partnerships Manager to lead research collaborations and organizational partnerships for DSRI. This fully remote role focuses on expanding impact through strategic alliances with academic, nonprofit, government, and industry partners.

You will develop partnership strategies, draft agreements, and coordinate materials while working with DSRI leadership and enabling functions. A strong background in AI, digital safety, and technical communications is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with academic, nonprofit research organizations, government agencies, foundations, and industry partners.
• Ability to develop and execute partnership strategies aligning with organizational goals.
• Excellent written and oral communication tailored to diverse audiences.
• Minimum 8 years in research partnerships, external relations, or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities aligned with DSRI's mission and priorities.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with partners across academia, government, nonprofits, and industry.
• Develop and implement partnership strategies to expand research impact and funding opportunities.
• Collaborate with DSRI leadership and enabling functions to align goals and agreements.
• Draft and coordinate proposals, memoranda, and partnership agreements; translate AI work for varied audiences.
• Track interactions, deliverables, risks, outcomes, and provide updates to leadership.
• Represent DSRI at conferences, workshops, and partnership meetings.
• Stay current on AI and digital safety research and public-private partnerships.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional ULRI initiatives.
