Job summary

Valiant Solutions is seeking a part-time Technical Writer (1/4 time) to join our cybersecurity team in a fully remote role. The candidate will develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, and technical publications, collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring clear, concise documentation.

Requirements include 3+ years of writing/editing experience, a Bachelor’s degree, proficiency with SharePoint and the MS Office suite, and familiarity with IT standards. Remote work policy and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience writing, editing, and preparing business or technical documentation for SOPs, user guides, job aids, workflow diagrams, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience utilizing SharePoint or related tools for document management and collaboration.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Proficient in Microsoft Teams and IT standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs requirement analysis, software design, development, installation, testing and maintenance for application system components for large-scale and distributed systems.
• Performs OS and/or product evaluation, integration, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
• Provides technical leadership, reviews work products, and makes technical recommendations for changes in the supported architecture.
• Gathers and writes technical documents for information system installation, operation, and maintenance in clear language.
• Writes in clear language technical documents, procedures manuals, service manuals, and related publications.
• Ensures documents are readable by both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Reviews, QA, and edits applicable materials as needed.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to understand existing and planned technologies and standards.
