Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Part‑time Speech Language Pathologist to provide virtual therapy to K‑12 students enrolled in Connections Academy virtual programs. The SLP will use webcams and the Education Management System to manage caseloads.

You will implement individual and group therapy, coordinate with parents, teachers, and IEP teams, and ensure documentation is complete and compliant. Remote work from home with flexible scheduling is offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and ASHA CCC.
• Valid state licensure in Speech Language Pathology; priority to OR among listed states.
• Available to work at least 20 hours per week.
• 2+ years experience in K‑12 school setting.
• Strong technology skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Able to use a personal device and email for two‑step authentication.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality speech language services to assigned students.
• Plan and implement individual and group therapy in a virtual environment.
• Be an expert on policies for implementing LiveSpeech services.
• Maintain relationships with schools and programs served.
• Review and analyze reports to maintain compliance.
• Maintain communication with leadership and school staff.
• Document therapeutic interventions timely and completely.
• Conduct screenings and evaluations of students’ communication needs.
• Communicate with parents/learning coaches and school staff to address IEP goals.
• Coordinate with teachers for specially designed instruction per IEP.
• Assist with organizing IEP paperwork and processes.
• Maintain data in EMS and other software; update secondary systems.
• Adhere to data protection policies.
• Obtain and maintain required licenses and clearances.
• Complete CEUs and trainings for credentials and compliance.
• Uphold Pearson core values and perform additional duties as assigned.
