Job summary

NEIS is seeking Loss Control Field Inspectors to conduct insurance loss control inspections on commercial or residential properties. This part-time/occasional role allows you to set your own schedule with varying weekly hours.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections, applying rules to identify risks, and preparing reports with photographs. Travel within your territory is required; home-based work is supported.

Qualifications

• Competent use of digital camera, word processing and e-mail.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Must live within 30-mile radius of territory.
• Job will be based from home with required travel to each inspection location within your assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inspections on commercial or residential properties.
• Apply manual rules and company standards to identify risks.
• Prepare a schedule to optimize time and meet service targets.
• Correspond with insured via phone, email and text message as necessary to set up appointments.
• Complete a physical loss control survey to identify any current issues or hazards.
• After physical inspection is completed, prepare required reports to include multiple pictures.
• Communicate survey status via internal progress reports.
