Job summary

Bizzano Law, LLC in Lake Oswego, Oregon, seeks a Litigation Attorney to join on a part-time basis with potential to become full-time. The role involves developing strategy, taking depositions, arguing motions, and preparing cases for trial, with a flexible, collegial small-firm environment.

You will manage matters with increasing independence, collaborate with other attorneys, and uphold a strong ethical compass while providing excellent client representation.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of legal experience with significant litigation
• Experience taking and defending depositions
• Experience handling contested hearings and trials
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong ethical compass, sound judgment, and commitment to fairness and justice
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
• Admission to the Oregon State Bar in good standing

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters with appropriate independence based on experience
• Develop case strategy and participate in collaborative strategy discussions
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare for and appear at contested hearings and trials
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex issues
• Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
• Attend mediations and settlement negotiations
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to provide excellent representation to clients
