Responsibilities include strategy, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation, with opportunities to independently manage matters and work remotely with periodic in-person meetings in Lake Oswego.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience with significant litigation experience.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience handling contested hearings and trials.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• A strong ethical compass, sound judgment, and a commitment to fairness and justice.
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Admission to the Oregon State Bar in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters with an appropriate level of independence based on experience.
• Develop case strategy and participate in collaborative strategy discussions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other substantive legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare for and appear at contested hearings and trials.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues.
• Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel.
• Attend mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to provide excellent representation to our clients.
