Job summary

U.P. Kids seeks a Family Assistance Worker for a part-time, primarily remote role serving at-risk youth and families across the central UP. The position requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel, with mileage reimbursement or a company vehicle.

Responsibilities include home visits, writing reports, and supporting family reunification plans in various locations, offices, or homes in the UP region.

Qualifications

• 1 year of human services experience, preferably with children.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to support the reunification of birth families and their children in foster care.
• Assist with areas such as child care, transportation to visits, and home management.
• Write reports and submit to the case manager promptly.
• Testify in court as needed.
