Job summary

FYI - For Your Information, Inc. is seeking an experienced part-time Controller to guide leadership on financials remotely. You will coordinate with an external accounting/tax firm and ensure accurate monthly closes, grants of taxes, and clear reporting for executives.

You will strengthen internal controls, support audits, and deliver actionable insights on margins, cash flow, and forecasting while meeting FAR and DCAA requirements in a fast-growing, remote environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive accounting experience with leadership roles.
• Experience in federal government contracting accounting (DCAA).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month/year-end closes.
• Ability to explain financial information to non-financial leaders.
• Remote, part-time role requiring Eastern Time availability.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with outside accounting and tax firm for timely closes.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Review statements and entries for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor tax compliance deadlines and filings.
• Develop dashboards with KPIs for leadership review.
