American Institutes for Research is seeking a part-time Business Development Associate to help identify and distribute new opportunities across the organization, with a focus on federal and state procurement sources. The role supports client services and leadership, ensuring timely communication and accurate data in tracking systems. The position, up to 50% FTE, can be remote within the U.S.

or based in a U.S. office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Science, or related field required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in business development, proposal support, or a related function with working understanding of RFP/procurement process.

Responsibilities

• Review daily saved/automated searches across federal and SLED procurement sources for fit against capabilities and priorities.
• Distribute opportunities to client services and leadership in a timely manner, flagging priority procurements.
• Research and evaluate data on government procurement sites (Sam.gov, Grants.gov, GSA, eBuy, GovWin, etc.).
• Track procurement updates and changes.
• Ensure accurate capture and update of opportunities/bids/data in tracking databases.
• Manage and update search parameters for opportunities with client services personnel.
• Support maintenance of a organization-wide opportunity pipeline accessible to relevant teams.
