Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field is required or preferred.
• Minimum of five years of accounting or finance experience is required.
• Reside within 45 miles of Bookminders’ local office.
• Experience with general ledger accounting software is required.
• Excellent communication and computer skills are required.
• Ability to work independently with precision and strong attention to detail.
• Separate home office space and reliable internet connection are required.

Responsibilities

• Apply fundamental accounting principles to process client accounting information completely and accurately, including time/expense billing, job costing, expense allocations, fund accounting, and board reporting.
• Understand and apply Bookminders' standards and procedures, suggest improvements, and ensure client accounts meet current standards.
• Understand clients’ business needs and implement Bookminders' service to provide required information.
• Attend brief weekly client meetings to discuss financials.
• Track and report client billing information in a timely, accurate manner.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with assigned clients.
