Job summary

Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger is seeking a Paralegal for Intake and Litigation Support to handle new client intake, organize case documents, and assist with discovery and deadlines. The role emphasizes attention to detail, empathy in client communications, and strong organization skills in a fast-paced legal environment.

The successful candidate will work primarily remotely following initial onsite training, with one month onsite training, and will support attorneys across matters

Qualifications

• College degree or paralegal certificate required.
• 2-3 years of relevant legal experience required.
• Experience with intake and elder abuse matters is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients.
• Familiarity with CRM and case management systems.
• Knowledge of court filing and e-filing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle initial client intake and information gathering.
• Draft discovery-related materials for attorney review.
• Coordinate with attorneys on deadlines and case needs.
• Organize and review client documents and records.
• Maintain schedules, deadlines, and calendaring.
• Communicate with clients to obtain information and documents.
