Job summary

Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc. is seeking a highly organized paralegal to support the Legal department in managing commercial contracting and healthcare compliance activities.

This role will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering routine legal agreements, coordinating contract workflows, supporting healthcare compliance processes, and maintaining contract records. The ideal candidate will have experience working with commercial agreements in a regulated industry

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing, drafting, or negotiating commercial agreements.
• Strong organizational and multi-project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and contract management systems.
• Experience supporting a medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or other regulated industry.
• - Familiarity with Business Associate Agreements and healthcare privacy requirements.
• Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance programs and commercial contracting practices.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional business teams in a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage routine commercial agreements, including NDAs, BAAs, equipment loan agreements.
• Administer the contract lifecycle from intake through execution and archiving.
• Maintain contract templates, playbooks, and standard contract language.
• Generate reports and metrics related to contract activity and turnaround times.
• Assist with healthcare compliance processes and documentation initiatives.
• Serve as a point person connecting with stakeholders on contracting matters.
