Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our family law practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in family law or litigation support, though we welcome applications from those with transferable skills from other practice areas. We are seeking someone committed to growing with our firm. You will work closely with our attorneys while maintaining responsibility for case management, document preparation, client communication, and case organization.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in providing high-quality legal representation to clients in all aspects of their cases.
Manage case files and maintain organized documentation systems.
Draft correspondence, discovery requests, and other legal documents under attorney supervision.
Assist with discovery processes, including organizing documents, preparing deposition summaries, and coordinating document production.
Schedule and coordinate court hearings, depositions, and mediation sessions.
Maintain regular communication with clients, providing case updates and scheduling assistance.
Assist attorneys in case preparation and trial support.
Perform legal research and case law analysis as directed.
Qualifications:
Paralegal certificate from an accredited program or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
Minimum of two years of paralegal experience, preferably in family law or litigation.
Proficiency in legal research tools, including LexisNexis and Westlaw.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to interact professionally with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest professional and ethical standards.
