What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff in a professional manner
- Manage attorney calendars, including coordinating court appearances and meetings
- Assist with court filings, assembling motions, and compiling discovery for attorney review
- Conduct legal research and prepare documentation for trials, including organizing exhibits
- Maintain organized filing systems and manage administrative tasks efficiently
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Family Law with New Jersey courts
- Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program; Bachelor's degree desired
- Proven organizational and time-management skills
- 3+ years of legal service experience in a law firm setting
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent writing and grammar abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program
- Previous experience handling a busy caseload in Family Law
- Familiarity with Child Support Guidelines and legal documentation processes
- Strong technology skills for effective communication and documentation
