A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Divorce/Family Law Paralegal to support their team in managing a busy caseload of cases related to Divorce and Family Law. This full-time remote position requires a candidate with excellent organizational and communication skills, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Remote We are only accepting applicants who have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Family Law with New Jersey courts. All other applicants will not be considered. We are looking for an experienced Divorce/Family Law Paralegal to join a Law Practice. The law firm is growing and is looking for a professional candidate with character and work ethic who has experience handling a busy caseload of Divorce, Matrimonial, and Family Law Clients. This is a full-time remote position with benefits. Responsibilities: • Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews • Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents • Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings • Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits • Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff in a courteous and professional manner • Managing busy and dynamic attorney calendars, including confirming and coordinating court appearances, meetings, etc • Making copies, scanning, and filing • Assisting with court filings and assembling motions • Compiling discovery for attorney review • Running Child Support Guidelines • Assisting in the preparation of Case Information Statements • Reminding attorneys of deadlines for filings, appearances, meetings, etc • Prioritizing work and adjusting priorities in accordance with deadlines • Maintaining reliable attendance records and punctuality • Willingness to work as part of a team and assist with administrative tasks Qualifications: • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills • 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred • Currently working at a Family Law firm practice with a minimum of 3 years of experience with New Jersey courts Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000
