Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Prior Authorization Pharmacist to support review of clinical documentation and the Preferred Drug List (PDL) to determine proper therapy. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to continually develop a strategy for Utilization Management.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy with relevant specialty experience.
• Registered Pharmacist with active state licensure.
• Four years of experience in clinical pharmacy.
• Experience coordinating and collaborating with work teams.
• Ability to perform clinical reviews using relevant compendia and clinical trial data.
• Managed care pharmaceutical services experience is a plus.
• Strong research and implementation skills in practical settings.
• Analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Strong team orientation and respect for all team members.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn proprietary systems.

Responsabilités

• Clinical evaluation of medication therapy.
• Review Prior Authorization requests from medical professionals using the PDL Criteria.
• Peer-to-Peer discussions with Medical providers regarding PA reviews.
• Consultations/Interventions: contact prescribers for clinical information and identify outliers.
• Intervention Refinements: collaborate on scripting improvements.
• Operations: support Clinical Call Centers and PA department with written and verbal communications.
• Quality Improvement: contribute to program improvements via quality processes and collaboration with product leaders.
• Medical/Clinical: stay up to date on medication information and collaborate with Medical Directors and Pharmacists.
• Other duties as assigned and contribute to operational efficiency.
