Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking an entry-level Accounts Payable Analyst within the Vendor Master team in the AP/P2P organization. The role supports day-to-day operations, including maintaining vendor master records, 1099 reporting, vendor inquiries, payment data, and expense management, with opportunities to advance to Analyst II based on experience.

This position is remote, with a virtual location in North Carolina or South Carolina within a reasonable commute to Charlotte, NC, and requires

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 1 year related experience (or 5 years with HS).
• Entry-level AP knowledge; strong internal controls and tax reporting awareness.
• Experience with 1099 reporting and vendor master data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vendor master records and support 1099 reporting.
• Respond to supplier and internal inquiries and resolve issues.
• Validate payments and expense data; support audits and rate case requests.
• Collaborate with Treasury and banking partners on payments and data accuracy.
• Identify process improvements to reduce cycle times.
